The Final Window

A letter to those who asked.

The working archive sold out. Then the letters arrived, asking if there was any other way.

I went back to the making table. For some pieces, the answer is yes, once more.

This is the final window from the Caesar Archivum working archive. Some pieces are ready now. Some are reserved before they are made. Every presale piece carries its expected ship-by window on the page itself.

How it works

1. Reserve

Choose the piece and the finish that are open for reservation. If a piece is not available, it will be marked unavailable, or kept hidden until the next making window is confirmed.

2. The commission begins

Presale pieces are sent to the jewellers in small batches. Most small pieces are expected within four to six weeks. Some specialist pieces take six to eight weeks. The product page is the source of truth for timing.

3. The piece ships

When your piece has been checked, polished, and packed, tracking is sent automatically.

Open for reservation

The storefront will only sell pieces that are active, correctly named, and carrying a clear ship-by window.

Not open unless marked available

If a piece is waiting on imagery, naming, stock reconciliation, or a making date, it should not be reservable. I would rather open fewer pieces clearly than take unclear orders.

Questions

Read the FAQ and the Materials and Making page before reserving. If your order includes both ready-to-ship and presale pieces, everything ships together once the full order is ready.

Thank you for being here. This window is the last release from the working archive.

Build your own.

For those who want more than one piece, the Stack lets you choose your slots, your pieces, and your finish, and reserve them as a single commission.

Questions from the study
When does the window close?

There is no closing date. The window stays open while the jewellers will hold the line. When a piece is gone, it is gone.

How long until my piece arrives?

Most pieces are made and shipped in 4–6 weeks. Some take 6–8 weeks depending on the commission. We send orders to the jewellers every few days, so your wait begins the day you reserve.

Why is this called a presale?

Because we are taking your reservation before the piece is made. Each commission is sent to the jewellers in batches. Your piece is made for you, not pulled from a shelf.

Can I refund a reservation?

Yes — within 48 hours of placing it, or until your piece has been sent to the jewellers, whichever comes first. After that, the commission is in motion and cannot be returned.

What metal should I choose?

Sterling silver is solid silver throughout, the metal of the moon and of heirlooms. 18k gold vermeil is a thick layer of gold bonded over solid silver — warmer in tone, softer in price, never plated over brass. Both are made to last generations.

I asked for a piece that isn't here. Can I still have it?

Write to the atelier. If the jewellers can make it, we will let you know.
